Just 30 days away from Opening Ceremonies!

In less than a month, the world's finest young violinists will arrive in Indianapolis for the 12th Quadrennial International Violin Competition of Indianapolis.

Opening Ceremonies kicks off the 2026 Competition on Thursday, September 17 with an evening of music, celebration and pageantry at Newfields. Join us at The Amphitheater as we welcome the Participants from around the world, introduce our distinguished jury and celebrate the beginning of 17 remarkable days of music.

There are two ways to join in on the festivities!

CONCERT PATRON
Enjoy the Opening Ceremonies from the terraces of The Amphitheater, then stay for a special full concert by Indy favorite Time for Three, the Grammy- and Emmy-winning ensemble, known for blending classical, Americana and singer-songwriter traditions.

$15 | General Admission by terrace level
Doors open at 5:30 PM; Casual attire; bring a blanket or low camp/beach chair for seating on the grass.

DINNER PATRON
Make the evening an elegant celebration with a cocktail reception beginning at 5:30 PM, followed by an exquisite multi-course dinner in the Randolph H. Deer Events Pavilion after the ceremonies.

Dinner Patron: $175 individual | $1,750 table of 10
Gold Patron: $250 individual | $2,500 table of 10
Supporting Sponsor Table: $5,000 table of 10
Black tie optional | RSVP by September 10

Opening Night is just the beginning!

Tickets to all Competition events are available, from the Preliminaries beginning on Saturday, September 19 at 9:30 AM to the Finals performances with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra on Friday/Saturday evening, October 2-3 at 8:00 PM.
