Landmarks and Landscapes (ages 6-8)
March 9 – April 27, 10-11:30am
Design, build, sculpt, paint and draw! Explore how creative spaces, architecture, nature and landscapes shape our daily experience. Get ready to tour the Gallery, discover new and old artists, experiment with art materials and use design thinking in the studio!
Building New Worlds (ages 9-12)
March 9 – April 27, 10-11:30am
Calling all Minecraft enthusiasts! Link elements of your favorite game and art together to create a series of imagined new worlds. Think outside the block, experiment with acrylic paint, ink, and cardboard as well as colour, composition and scale to bring your own unique 2D & 3D environments to life. This class is for anyone who loves video games and art!
Art and the Climate (ages 13-17)
March 9 – April 27, 1-3pm
Take a deep dive into the impacts and issues surrounding climate change through respectful discussion, gallery visits and artmaking in this environmental-focused studio session. Visit current exhibitions and create unique 2D and 3D artworks from natural, sustainable, non-toxic art materials and processes to communicate your thoughts and ideas for a better future.
February 24, 2-4pm
Join us on February 24 for a curator’s tour and musical performance in 5 Artists 1 Love, an annual exhibition celebrating Black creativity in our community. Listen as curator Darren Jordan shares his insights about the depth and vibrancy of Edmonton’s African Canadian creative communities and learn more about the featured artists.
February 28, 11am-12pm
New parents are welcome to join us on a monthly tour of the AGA’s current exhibitions. This tour series has been designed to have adult conversation, opportunities to socialize with other parents, baby play, and added flexibility to ensure if you need to step away to attend to your little one, you won’t miss a thing!
These tours are included in admission.

Calling all seniors – enjoy a screening of At Eternity’s Gate (2018), a biographical drama film about the final years of painter Vincent van Gogh's life.
This screening includes a 30-minute discussion, tea, and treats.
March 10, 12-4pm
Investigate the life and work of iconic Canadian artist Tom Thomson. Create a series of landscape-inspired artworks and complete a scavenger hunt.
About All Day Sundays: All Day Sundays take place the second Sunday of every month between 12 and 4pm. This event provides families the opportunities to spend the afternoon exploring art and ideas connected to current exhibitions.
Wednesdays, 10-11am
Tours for Tots is a weekly in-person art exploration for children ages 3-5 and their parents, consisting of playful activities, whimsical storytelling and hands-on art-making.

Adult Open Studio classes are casual, social drop-in art workshops offered weekly, featuring a new project and theme connected to current exhibitions.
