Happy April from Rowan Oak! March was a busy month for us with a total of over 1,400 visitors and an unexpected snowfall. We had visitors from all over the U.S. and 8 different countries last month, including Mexico, France, Brazil, and Japan to name just a few. Be sure to follow Rowan Oak’s new Instagram @dogsatrowanoak, that features pups who visit Faulkner’s historic home. We look forward to everyone’s visit this April.

The grounds of Rowan Oak and the Bailey Woods Trail are open daily from dawn until dusk. We ask that any visitors practice appropriate social distancing while on the property.
The Chancellor announced this update to campus protocols:
“Effective Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, the university will require face coverings only in instructional areas and healthcare settings, regardless of vaccination status. This includes classrooms and other academic spaces like laboratories as well as healthcare settings such as University Health Services."
The UM Museum falls under the category of academic spaces, please wear a mask when visiting our galleries.

Join us for a gallery walk through of The Other Sun and group lecture viewing in the Speakers Gallery. Refreshments will be served.
The lecture will begin at 2:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
You also have the option to join us from the comfort of your home or office, virtually. The virtual lecture will take place from 2:00–3:30 p.m. This is a free virtual event, though registration is required (link below).

Join the museum at Mississippi Day, an “open house” where members of the public, families, alumni, UM faculty and staff, and prospective students and their parents visit our Oxford campus. We'll be hosting a children's art activity and providing fun give-aways.
Bailey Woods Trail remains open from dawn until dusk daily. We ask that all trail visitors practice appropriate social distancing while enjoying this National Recreation Trail, which connects the two sites.
