The walrus has arrived! (and so have a stag and a bear 🦌 🐻 )

Tonight is the first preview for Wirral playwright Billie Collins’ gorgeous, funny and super theatrical new play The Walrus Has a Right to Adventure – complete with some live foley!

There are £10 tickets available for the show after tomorrow night’s Freelancers’ Mixer, and director Nathan Crossan-Smith is running a workshop exploring his approach to staging the impossible challenges of this script.

It’s only on until Saturday 21 June (!!!), so make sure you’ve got your tickets if you want to see it.

Coming up in the next month or so, we also have our final Meeting Points before closing for the summer:
- a free Production Process workshop on programming and booking tours
- Creative Co-working for all local freelancers making theatre
- an Open House with a focus on New Works.

And also I’m running a workshop for Box of Tricks tomorrow evening, exploring how plays for small casts can still be innovative and ambitious, and get as much as they can from their forms. Still a couple of spaces left!

(Plus we’ll finish in time to watch The Walrus Has a Right to Adventure – so you can see how Billie makes the most of three actors!)

Our annual script submissions window is OPEN – and we want to read your work!

Full details about what we’re looking for, and how the process works, are on our website.

We’re accepting scripts until 10am on Monday 30 June – and, as part of our commitment to local playwrights, we’ll offer written feedback on all submitted scripts.
