We are excited to celebrate with you this Friday, July 19 from 6-9pm at our free Art on the Grounds festival Threads: Weaving Humanity, featuring interactive art activities, live performances, food, and plenty of fun!
See new works by artists Hellen Ascoli, Yasmin Jahan Nupur, Sudnya Shroff, and RoCoCo. Events taking place throughout the evening include drumming with Oriki Theater and San Jose Taiko; dance with Xpressions, Calpulli Tonalehqueh, and Yang Yang Dance; A Crochet Jam with Ramekon O’Arwisters; face painting; sewing; and activities with Lucas Artists Fellows Fernando Vigueras, Daniel Godinez Nivon, and Yona Harvey.
Grab food from Oaxacan Grill, Pita & Salt, Gold Rush Eatery. Wine, beer, soda, and water, plus ice cream, candy, and popcorn will also be available for purchase.

Summer is here, and there's no better place to see a movie than outdoors at Sunset Cinema on our gorgeous Great Lawn! Don't miss our next outdoor movie next Friday, July 26 at 8:30pm: a special screening of the classic musical Grease starring Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta. Dress up like your favorite character and be ready to sing along with the on-screen prompts each time a musical number starts!
Limited onsite VIP parking is available for $15, or take a free shuttle from West Valley College. Bring a blanket or low beach chair to set up on the lawn, and stop by the concessions stand for popcorn, candy, and ice cream along with beer, wine, and soda. NOTE: No outside alcohol is allowed!
