You don't want to miss Metronome, a ballet created especially for students and educators by a team of local artists. Your students will be enthralled by this tale of four kids discovering their love for the arts, as well as the importance of patience and practice.

What do you get when you register for Moving Stories: Metronome

Moving Stories: Metronome combines two programs into one, a virtual performance and a digital movement workshop! Registered educators receive a Resource Guide (includes a follow-along movement workshop led by Louisville Ballet teaching artists) on February 11th and the Virtual Performance (dance film produced by Kertis Creative) with 5-days of viewing February 22 - 26, 2021.

How much does it cost? 

Our Moving Stories program is priced per classroom, $200 for a class of up to 30 students. However, we know classrooms may look a little different this year. Groups of up to 30 students can take advantage of that price, which is about $6.75 per student. Contact Louisville Ballet for details. 

What ages would enjoy this program?

This performance and corresponding movement workshop is perfect for students in Pre-K to 5th grade!

When do I have to register by?

The deadline to register is Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

Louisville Ballet's Moving Stories Program curriculum is based on the National Core Arts Standards in Dance and aligns with Kentucky Academic Standards. Students participating in Moving Stories will: 

  • Learn how dance is used to tell stories
  • Discover career opportunities in the arts
  • Analyze and explain key ideas and details from literary stories
  • Integrate knowledge and ideas to understand narrative
  • Connect, perform and respond to movement
  • Develop skills to be a prepared and resilient learner
  • Utilize receptive and expressive language arts to better understand self, others and the world
