Okay, so we made it through the first few days of Summer Camps! We learned some things and it's only going to get better from here!
Dear Camp team members,
I wish I could be there to see all of the amazing ways you are pulling this off! I can't wait to see the feedback from parents and from you all on how the first week has gone and what we can do to make it even better. I have already heard much input from many of you and changes will be made accordingly. We have to continue to be adaptable in order to rise up to the challenge of delivering quality programs in crazy times!
Thank you again for all that you are doing for these kiddos. It means a lot!

4th of July
No camps on Friday the 3rd. Have a good 4th of July weekend!
Communicate!
Please continue to communicate with your Leads if anything arises during your camp! We’re here to help, but we can’t fix what we don’t know about. If you need to communicate anything with parents, tell your Lead so that they can pass it on at check-in/out or make a call if need be.
Supplies
Read the notes on your supplies. You may not get everything on your materials list because Mascots decided to save it on the budget.
On the last day of your camp, please bring all your supplies back to the prep area in MAL Storage and thoroughly sanitize your classroom. Don’t worry about putting supplies away – that’s what the Mascots are for!
Pictures
Please upload pictures to this OneDrive folder. Create a new folder in the folder for each new camp, and a folder within that for each new date. You can very easily do this on your phone with the OneDrive app.
Radios
- Turn Radios to Channel 1
- Use them for Pick up and Drop off calling only - Text or call your lead for needs throughout the day.
- Turn them off when not using them
- Return them to the Camp Lead/charger stations at the end of the day.
Survey
Complete the survey at the end of your camp each week. If you have multiple sessions of one camp (Pe-k or K-1 camps) you can fill it out after your last session (usually on Friday) with feedback for all of your camp sessions. Please leave good feedback so we can make changes to keep improving.
Meeting Point
You can meet at your classroom at 8:00 AM to check on supplies and set up your classroom. Be at the pick up and drop off location by 8:15 for Warm Up.Cleaning
Check out the cleaning checklist for some of the procedures. It may change as we go, but this is a live document so it will always be up to date. When updates are made you will be notified.
After Camp Connections
If you are scheduled for After Camp Connections, you will be using a separate roster to check out your camper(s). These will be printed off on a clipboard located in Kid Storage. Please notify the front desk to radio you when parents arrive to pick up their campers and remember to check ID. If you aren’t sure if you have anyone signed up, call reception.

- If campers aren't there when camp is starting, Leads should ask reception to contact the parents.
