Schubert, Copland and a West Coast Premiere

A monumental program starting with Schubert’s cherished “Unfinished” Symphony followed by the West Coast premiere of American composer Jonathan Leshnoff’s Clarinet Concerto, a co-commission with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Completing this majestic program is Copland's iconic Symphony No. 3.

Hosted by Saïd Ramón Araїza, 'Behind the Music' is a fun, lively and informative pre-concert talk. Mr. Araїza’s extensive musical background, insights, presentation skills and humor will take you on a journey of discovery about each spectacular concert, bringing each work and its composer to life in a whole new way. 'Behind the Music' begins 1 hour before every Classical Series concert at the Granada Theatre.

There is nothing compared to experiencing Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons live. The Symphony celebrates the seasons with a magical combination of this work and Piazzolla’s Tango inspired The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires. We conclude the concert with Haydn’s dramatic Symphony 101, described as pure heartfelt joy.
