JULY 25, 2026 – JANUARY 3, 2027
Ralph Coburn was a Minneapolis-born painter who spent most of his childhood and young adult years in Miami Beach. The city’s Art Deco aesthetics and architecture inspired Coburn’s artistic career. Throughout his practice, Coburn drew inspiration from his physical surroundings — abstracting, compressing, and distilling landscapes into flat, color-blocked planes. Many of Coburn’s works are divided into a three-part composition, and as the exhibition title suggests, mimic the horizon line demarcating the separation between the land, sea, and sky.
