Everyman & Playhouse theatres
For Liverpool theatre makers

Thu 30 July 2020

Hi Everyone and Welcome to the New Look, New Works Newsletter,

We know things are hard right now across our sector, and especially for freelance artists. After speaking with our creative community we were struck by the need for clear information and a central place for artists to find out what (on earth) is currently going on and any support that is available.

With that in mind, whilst our buildings are still dark due to Covid-19, we want to re-purpose this newsletter to a fortnightly round up of:

• Updates about the theatres

• Notices and Opportunities for funding and activism. This will no longer include national workshops and courses for writing and developing work that aren't free.

• What's on in Liverpool by local artists and grassroots organisations. If you are putting on an event, show or workshop in Merseyside - let us know and we will share it.

Although we are currently at very reduced capacity, we want this newsletter to be useful to you so do let us know anything you think we should try to cover. If you have anything you'd like us to share or questions for us, please drop us a line at newworks@everymanplayhouse.com.

Thank you and we hope to see you soon!

Frank (New Works Associate) & Ashlie (Programmer)

Updates

• We currently have wonderful 4 reps working part time on behalf of Liverpool freelancers as part of a national task force: George Francis, Brodie Arthur, Natasha Patel and Grace Goulding.
