Future Science Leaders 2019

Designing New Experiences

Behind-the-scenes at Science World (and from our homes around the region) our staff is questioning, prototyping, testing and evaluating to refine our programs to meet the needs of learners around BC. While the Tech-Up team has already coded with over 1,000 students this fall, our outreach team is working to develop and pilot virtual field trip workshops.

We can't wait to share more with you in a few weeks.

Battery REcycling Contest for Schools

In partnership with Call2Recycle®, the provincially approved consumer battery collection and recycling program, we are challenging schools to register for a used household battery recycling contest. Through participating in this contest, students will learn about caring for the environment and proper waste management.

Contest period: October 19–November 30, 2020

Students will be challenged to collect as many used consumer household batteries as they can to win one of four prizes for their school.

CALLING ALL FUTURE SCIENCE LEADERS!

Do you know a high school student who dreams of a life in STEAM and who wants exciting challenges outside of the classroom? Our in-person program has been adapted to prioritise safety and hygiene during the pandemic whilst engaging our students in fun, hands-on activities. This year the Future Science Leaders program celebrates its 10-year anniversary. Join us in the coming months as we share stories from alumni about how FSL impacted their lives.
