Welcome our latest New Works Newsletter.
We’re now one year on from the announcement of a UK-wide lockdown that closed our theatres. Over the last 12 months we’ve tried to stay connected to our artists, our freelancers and the wider creative community in the city. We’ve continued our artistic programme online, outdoors and, in a brief festive window, on our stages. We’ve created digital work that will continue to develop and grow. We have and will continue to prioritise supporting freelancers where we can through employment and supporting change in the industry through Fuel’s Freelancer Taskforce and our friends at March for the Arts. We’ve rescheduled shows, and then rescheduled them again. We’ve zoomed ourselves silly, and we are so grateful to all of you for your patience, resilience and hope.
We are preparing to reopen our buildings and present live work on our stages again, ensuring the safety of our teams, artists and audiences. We’ll be sharing updates and milestones via our newsletter and social media networks.
In this email we have our usual updates, round up of some opportunities and some what’s on notices. Remember you can email us at newworks@everymanplayhouse.com with your own updates to include, or with any questions you have for us.
Thank you and we hope to see you soon!
