Cincinnati Ballet is excited to share there has been great progress in the construction of our new building, the Cincinnati Ballet Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance! The Center will expand and enrich our mission to foster the growth of our dancers. Thank you for your continued support! 

 We look forward to welcoming students into the new space for our 2021 summer programs. The Center's Grand Opening will be held September 2021.

Parents Association General Meeting

November 18 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm
Topic: Healthy at Home

The Parents Association’s first general meeting of the year will be held virtually, and will feature Cincinnati Ballet's Athletic Trainer, Kelly Jo Rodrigo, MS, AT from Mercy Health – Wellington Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine. Kelly Jo will lead a discussion on injury prevention as well as safe practices while training at home. This is intended for Main Division families but is open to all. 

We will be sending out a Zoom link to the meeting soon!

Virtual Trial Classes

Do you know someone looking to begin ballet classes or expand their training? It’s not too late to join the Academy! With Covid-19 safety precautions in place, the Academy will now be offering a series of FREE virtual trial classes to prospective students ages 2 through 7.


An opportunity to register online for a trial class will be coming next week. Keep an eye on your inbox! And if you have interested friends, feel free to direct them to our website or to contact the Academy staff at 513.562.1111 or cbacademy@cballet.org.

Ballet Moves
Cincinnati Ballet is so happy to have our Ballet Moves students back both virtually and in person after an extended summer break!
 Whether in the studio or on Zoom, Ballet Moves offers participants of all abilities the opportunity to safely explore and develop movement, musicality and personal/social growth. 

CincyDance!
CincyDance! is back this fall providing free virtual residency programs to second and third grade classrooms throughout the Greater Cincinnati Area. Over the course of six weeks, the virtual CincyDance! residency introduces students to the joy of dance through ballet and creative movement while also exploring street dance, salsa, modern and global dance. Welcome New Teachers!

Kerry Enders has over 35 years of dance experience and over 25 years of dance teaching experience. She recently relocated to Cincinnati and is very excited to be a part of the Academy staff!

Julia Gundzik attended the Nutmeg Conservatory to begin her full-time dance training before joining the Washington Ballet’s Professional Training Program. She's now a member of Cincinnati Ballet’s Professional Training Division.

Alyssa Manguiat joined both the main Company as an Apprentice and the Academy faculty as a teacher for Level 1 this season. She is so excited to come full circle and teach in the Academy in which she grew up!

Jennifer Rutherford has been the Children’s Nutcracker coach at Cincinnati Ballet, and has taught ballet for over 15 years. She trained at The School of American Ballet and joined the New York City Ballet at age 17.

Amy Seiwert enjoyed a nineteen-year performing career dancing with the Smuin, Los Angeles Chamber, and Sacramento Ballets. She served as Artistic Director of Sacramento Ballet from 2018-2020.

Kyle Stevenson was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and began dancing at age 6. Kyle is extremely honored to be teaching at Cincinnati Ballet where his love of dance began!

Shauna Steele is an Associate Professor of Dance and the Chair of the Dance Department at CCM. She is an administrator, educator and published dance scholar with more than 25 years of experience.
