An all-star ensemble comprising eight of the finest performer/composers at work in jazz today, the SFJAZZ Collective presents new arrangements of music by the genius jazz innovator Miles Davis, and freshly minted compositions by each band member. Each night of this residency will feature different compositions that will be recorded for the Collective’s new album release. The band will present new arrangements of these Miles Davis classics "So What," "All Blues," "Teo," "Joshua," "Tutu," "Bitches Brew," "Nardis," and "Milestones."

We will pay tribute to the late jazz legend Bobby Hutcherson, who passed away on August 15, with an all-star lineup that includes McCoy Tyner, SFJAZZ Collective, Joey DeFrancesco, George Cables, Renee Rosnes, Brian Blade, Peter Erskine, Billy Hart, Eddie Henderson, Billy Harper, John Handy, Cecil McBee, Barry Hutcherson, Paula West, John Santos and many others. Proceeds to benefit the Hutcherson Family Medical Expenses. Please note that tickets purchased, or donation given to SFJAZZ specifically designated to the Hutcherson Family is not tax deductible.
