WE'RE LOOKING FOR A TEACHER...

We’re looking for a creative and collaborative teacher to join us from July 2022 through June 2023.  Science World’s Tech-Up initiative brings barrier-free, hands-on digital skills learning to students and teachers throughout BC.

Your mission, is to help our team develop coding, computational thinking and digital skills resource materials for BC K-12 teachers, and introduce these ideas through professional enrichment workshops online and in person across BC (You may be able to arrange a leave of absence with your school district).

Apply by Monday April 18th, 2022 via the Science World careers portal scienceworld.ca/jobs.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

As part of Science World's Tech-Up initiative, we are developing a whole range of NEW Professional Development workshops. To do this, we want to hear from you about what we can do to support your ADST teaching.

Fill out this short survey by the 26th of April and you'll have the chance to win one of 5 prize bundles! Your responses will assist us in creating fun and engaging Professional Development workshops for teachers throughout BC!

Wise footprint Comic Contest

With the TELUS Wise footprint comic contest students in Grades 2-6 can author a comic strip that illustrates what it means to be a good digital citizen for a chance to win cash prizes for them and their school!  No drawing skills required!

future science leaders

“This is what differentiates Future Science Leaders from every other science-learning experience I’ve had. We weren’t told, ‘Here’s the formula and here’s how it works.’ We actually made it work ourselves.”

Take a behind-the-sciences look at what completing a scientific project in the Future Science Leaders program was like for seven young scientists.

Know a STEAM-keen teen? The application deadline is May 1 for both the Surrey and Vancouver program. Find out more or apply at scienceworld.ca/futurescienceleaders. Register below for an information session.
