ONLINE SCIENCE ADVENTURE


Now available for classes across BC, Online Science Adventure is an interactive, high-energy Science World program. Each dynamic and engaging session provides an experiential learning experience through live demonstrations and experiments, with activities and resources that can continue in-class learnings.


Availability is limited and special pricing is available between January 4 and March 26, 2021 only.

4–7:  Chemistry


Tech-Up Coding Workshops


In these workshops, tailored to grade level curriculum connections for ADST, a Tech-Up facilitator leads a session for your students to understand the fundamentals of coding and computational thinking through multiple activities that support learning.


Grades:

2–4:  Bee Bot Bop
4–7:  Discover Ozobots
4–7:  Say It With Scratch
7–9:  Marvellous Micro:bits

Join Science World and BC Hydro for an electrifying livestream from the safety of your own home. Expect fun and informative demos including the musical Tesla coil and learn what precautions to take around downed power lines from a BC Hydro Power Line Technician.

La Fondation La main à la pâte (France) lance L@MAP, sa plateforme de formation à distance. Destinée aux enseignant.e.s K-7, elle offre des activités de classe clés en main, conçues par des enseignant.e.s et des scientifiques puis testées avec des élèves. Bien que ce sont de la France, les ressources L@MAP soutiennent bien les compétences disciplinaires scientifiques de la C-B. On peut y trouver des entrevues de scientifiques, des vidéos de classe ou encore des documents pédagogiques et scientifiques.


Il y a aussi un forum d’entraide pour les enseignant.e.s et les élèves.
