Dear Friend,
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to announce that we have not only met, but exceeded the $500,000 challenge from the Amon G. Carter Foundation! By securing the match for the next two years, the Orchestra will receive a total of $1.5 million in matching funds from the Foundation.
The challenge launched in February 2017, and has encouraged increased giving from new, reinstated, and current donors. To date, a total of 1,160 donors have made three-year pledges totaling $870,000 annually. Eligible funds for the match have exceeded the $500,000 goal by more than $20,000 and, combined with the match, total $3,060,000 in increased giving through 2019.
This accomplishment is a testament to the community’s support of the FWSO to help ensure our financial stability and continued artistic excellence. It would never have been possible without the generosity of the Amon G. Carter Foundation, and we are forever grateful to John Robinson for his vision and dedication to our great orchestra.
My sincere thanks to each of you who played your part in supporting this important effort – you have demonstrated your unwavering support to the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. Our beloved Orchestra is on its way to building a firm financial foundation for the future.
Sincere good wishes for a very happy new year and greatest gratitude,
Mercedes T. Bass | Chairman of the Board
