Asian Heritage Month

We are pleased to offer programming celebrating Asian Heritage Month! Explore what we have to offer:

Artist Workshop with Gloria Mok

May 25, 2-4pm

Join artist and physician Gloria Mok in our studio (Lower Level) for a unique and intimate Chinese embroidery-inspired collage workshop! Explore the world of traditional Chinese embroidery, its elements and its link to Chinese culture.

Artist Activation with Yong Fei Guan

May 30, 4-7pm

Please welcome artist-researcher Yong Fei Guan during our free admission hours! She will present on Goji berries and the Edmonton Goji Map at 5pm and kids can plant their very own Goji berry plant to take home.

Heart of the City – Music Program Series

May 19, 1-3pm

This May long weekend, take a break and enjoy a concert in our Atrium! Featuring musicians from the Heart of the City Music Program (HCMP) performance troupe, this performance will delight audiences of all ages. This performance is included in General Admission.

Seniors Tour | Women of the AGA

May 24, 2-3pm

Please join us at the YWCA for a special presentation and tour of pop-up exhibition Women of the AGA: Celebrating 100 Years of Achievement, which features a selection of women in the AGA Collection. This tour is for self-identified seniors and is free to attend. Capacity is limited; register today!

Stroller Tour

May 29, 11am-12pm

New parents – join a tour geared towards you! Learn more about new exhibition Äida Muluneh and Meryl McMaster: Ebb and Flow in this flexible tour series that includes opportunities to socialize with other parents, baby play and added flexibility. These tours are free with general admission.

This exhibition features work from 12 diverse Albertan artists with artwork recently acquired to the AFA Art Collection.

Visit Here & Now in the Human History Hall of the Royal Alberta Museum until September 29. Entry to the exhibition is included with admission.
