Hello from BCLM Learning,
Thank you for signing up to e-newsletter to hear the latest news and information from the Museum's Learning Team. We aim to keep you up to date with the latest developments in our Learning Programme and hope that you will something that you will find useful. In this update we are casting a light onto some exciting projects happening at the Museum alongside some new resources for you to use in the classroom.
The Museum currently plans to re-open at Step 3 of the Government’s Roadmap, which means we’re currently working to being open again from Mon 17 May. We will share further updates on our website and social media in due course and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
The 2021 census will be the 22nd time that a census will be taken in the UK. Regular censuses have been taken every 10 years since 1801 (except in 1941 due to the Second World War). But what can we learn from looking at them?
This resource aims to explore what we can learn from this valuable resource in addition to exploring why we still take censuses today.
To help the Museum to understand and adapt to how schools are going to use the Museum following the COVID-19 pandemic, we are giving you the opportunity to let us know how we can bet support your pupils learning need.
The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
The Museum wants to support schools with their recovery therefore, we are offering a reduced price on our educational visits until the end of July 2021. In addition to this, if there are any educational resources that the Museum can provide to support the learning of your pupils, please get in touch.
If you are unable to visit the Museum but, would still like to offer your pupils exciting and engaging learning experience, why not take a look at our outreach packages.
We have a range of activities available for you to pic and mix between for both full and half day packages. We have included a few below to tempt you.
EYFS & Key Stage 1
Students will take part in a lively and interactive story followed by traditional brick making and building activities. They will even get to take their creations home!
