Celebrating two new exhibitions at your AGA!

February 18

6pm MST

You’re invited! Join us for an exciting evening as we honour the works of Maud Lewis and Byron Samson at our Exhibition Opening Event! 

There is a special Members' Preview at 6pm with opening remarks at 6:20pm.
The event is open to both Members and non-Members starting at 7:30pm.   

Registration is free, access to all galleries is included, and there will be a cash bar to enjoy!

Proof of vaccination is required to attend this event.

Maud Lewis is one of Canada’s most beloved folk artists, famous for her brightly coloured and endearing paintings of rural Nova Scotia.


With skilled expertise, portrait artist Byron Samson (Mistikonapew) created a body of work featuring several leaders whom we acknowledge by giving them a place of honour in our communities and in our hearts.

Join us at our next upcoming Stroller Tour! Stroller Tours provide new parents with the opportunity to socialize with other parents, tour the gallery, and have the flexibility to ensure if they need to step away to attend to their little one, they won’t miss a thing!

Get ready for a very Canadian pairing! The next Art & Wine event features both Canadian Wine and Canadian Art. We will start the evening with a tour by curator Danielle Siemens of the newly opened Maud Lewis exhibition, featuring Maud’s iconic paintings of the east coast. After the tour Color de Vino will lead us in a tasting of a selection of Canadian wines while speaking about what makes our wines unique and truly Canadian.

Inspired by our current exhibition Inheritance, and the artwork of featured artist Deanna Bowen, work together to create an artwork to add to your family archives.

Join AGA educators and students from St. Stephen’s College Art Therapy program in the art studio Art Hive. This weekly community-based art-making initiative is FREE and open to all, on every Thursday from 12-1pm.
