Greetings from the Eisemann Center!
Thank you for subscribing to our monthly Art Newsletter, Brushstrokes. We hope you find it informative and inviting. The Forrest and Virginia Green Mezzanine Gallery is free to view and open daily to the public on the second floor of the Eisemann Center lobby. Located in the heart of Galatyn Parkway, and steps from the DART rail, our monthly art installation is not something you want to miss. For more information on Visual/Public Art at the Eisemann Center, exhibit schedule, and all information for those wanting to exhibit their work, click here.
The Richardson ISD Visual Arts Department offers all RISD students PK-12 the unique opportunity to create and submit a piece of art to be showcased in the Green Mezzanine Gallery each year. Myron Stennett, Director of Visual Arts for RISD, developed this showcase to boost the enthusiasm and motivation of students interested in making art and push them to create refined works.
Through challenging curricular art activities aligned with the standards of the Texas Essential Knowledge and
Skills for Fine Arts and the school’s art curriculum, students are provided a venue to
showcase their skills as well as their understanding of process and creative
development which supports the goals and skill level of all students.
A First Fridays reception is scheduled for February 7nd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Green Mezzanine Gallery. Enjoy lite bites and wander the gallery with your fellow local art lovers!
Please forward and share this newsletter to anyone interested in the arts.
