Silver Programme brings new lease of life to Ken

Ken Gibson, 66, has been given a new lease of life thanks to discovering the Silver Programme.

"I’ve gone from a person who was petrified to meet people to playing on stage almost weekly and loving it. I still have my health issues, but I have found that being involved in music has helped with my coordination, confidence and ability to work out things for myself.”  Read more here.

New Year New Artists Festival Showcases Rising Stars at Sage Gateshead

Rising music stars of the future will be showcased at Sage Gateshead in January when the New Year New Artists festival returns. Celebrating the UK’s most exciting contemporary musicians from indie, folk, jazz and classical, New Year New Artists takes over Sage Gateshead from 26 to 28 January 2018. Read more.

Rehearsals well underway ahead of Newcastle Bach Choir's performance of Messiah in Sage One

We're very much looking forward to welcoming Newcastle Bach Choir back to Sage Gateshead in February. The first rehearsal after Christmas began from the top with 'And the glory of the Lord' and continued through Part One and a little of Part Two, ending with 'All we like sheep have gone astray'. Conductor Eric Cross said, "Overall, the sound was great, and given that we will only improve from here, the final performance will sound fantastic!" Tickets available here.
