If you are or know a teen looking for some holiday fun with friends, join our Teen Night! Inspired by the 1993 classic The Nightmare Before Christmas, this event is a mix of Christmas and Halloween.
Explore current exhibitions, compete in a costume contest, watch the film The Nightmare Before Christmas, pose in our photo booth and make art to take home. Treats will be served. Open to teens ages 13-17.
Explore personal art collections in our exhibition The Collectors' Cosmos: The Meakins-McLaran Print Collection and discover what the collectors prize. Create and trade art to build your personal art collection.
All Day Sundays at the AGA provide families the opportunities to spend the afternoon exploring art and ideas connected to current exhibitions.
We are showing two documentary films about ground-breaking artists united by their interest in portraiture, depicting humanity, and defying convention as female artists in New York’s art scene.
Watch both films for $15 or either film for $10.
6pm | Alice Neel, documenting the life of the convention-defying portrait artist
8pm | All The Beauty and The Bloodshed, about photographer, artist and activist Nan Goldin
New parents are welcome to join us on a monthly tour of the AGA’s current exhibitions. This tour series has been designed to have adult conversation, opportunities to socialize with other parents, baby play, and added flexibility to ensure if you need to step away to attend to your little one, you won’t miss a thing!
The AGA is pleased to offer free admission from 4-7pm on the last Thursday of every month with the support of EPCOR. Take advantage of this offer to check out our galleries and programming, inclusing a mocktail demonstration by JoAnne Pearce (Mock-Ups Mocktails).
Every Sunday, 1-3pm
December 17 is our last session in 2023! Create a wearable masterpiece using simple wire. With a few clever bends and twists, customize your artwork for a one-of-a-kind statement piece.
