STEAM Days of Summer

Announcing STEAM Days of Summer

Our annual 5-day teacher professional development program is back after a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic.


The theme for the 2022 STEAM Days of Summer is Code to Learn. We will focus on strategies for developing digital literacy skills across the curriculum and explore suitable coding methods and tools to support this.


Cost: FREE

Dates and Location:

  • Prince George – August 8 to 12, 2022
  • Vancouver – August 22 to 26, 2022

PLEASE NOTE: The registration link will say “Start Survey” but is the application, not a survey. Maximum three educators from one school (space permitting). There is a $50 refundable deposit required on acceptance into the program which is returned upon completion of the program.

  • 11th May - Coding with Scratch (Online)
  • 18th May - Micro:bits + Extensions (In-Person)
  • 25th May - Teaching Math with Scratch (Online)
  • 1st June - Tech Showcase and Tinker (In-Person)

Looking for a place to learn the basics of dinosaurs? Join Science World and expert Perry Poon as we dive into Dinosaurs 101

May 12th - Class starts at 4pm PST


Perry has been the chair of the Vancouver Paleontological Society for nearly 30 years and wants to share his knowledge with you! From identifying what a fossil is (and isn’t!) to learning about all the different types of dinosaurs throughout the Mesozoic Era.


This free 45-minute family-friendly adventure compliments the many amazing experiences guest can encounter at the T.rex Exhibition at Science World and is best suited to students grades K-7.
