Rowan Oak had over 400 visitors in February, including visitors from 27 different states and 7 different countries such as Poland, Slovenia, and Iceland. Our recent Southern Studies graduate assistant, Kallye Smith, has proven to be a wonderful asset to Rowan Oak. Along with the help of Kallye and the Slavery Research Group at the University, we plan to interpret the full history of Rowan Oak even further by adding an exhibit about the eras before Faulkner: the Sheegog and Bailey era. We hope to implement this project very soon. Make sure to follow Rowan Oak on Instagram @rowanoakofficial for updates and fun Faulkner tidbits. We look forward to (hopefully) some warmer weather and even more visitors in March!
