2022 Program to be Announced Tuesday, Oct 11

The 35th Virginia Film Festival is November 2-6

Hello from the Virginia Film Festival!

As you know, the VAFF is just one month away, and that means our planning process is in high gear as we put the finishing touches on our 2022 program that we are so excited to announce next week, on October 11.

This year, as we celebrate our 35th anniversary, we are both looking back and looking forward – back at the remarkable evolution of the VAFF and at the unforgettable people and moments who have been part of its history, and forward to an exciting future as we continue to reflect the magic of movies and their unique ability to illuminate the world in which we live.

There is no doubt that the last two years have changed the landscape of the film and entertainment industries with the rise of streaming services during the pandemic. In many ways, our return to theatres is a strong statement about the power of film festivals, and particularly our festival, to bring our community together and to stimulate the kinds of conversations that have always been a hallmark of the VAFF.

Make sure to follow us on our social media channels including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok, which are the best places to get breaking news and updates on our films and guests starting October 11 through the Festival weekend.

Mark your calendars! Single ticket sales open at noon on Tuesday, October 18. And remember it’s not too late to support the VAFF and gain exclusive insider access and donor benefits, including early access to purchase tickets (beginning October 13)!

See you at the Movies!
