NYU SKIRBALL NEWS

Dear Friend,

It is a season unlike any other. As the impact of Coronavirus (Covid-19) continues across the globe, NYU Skirball remains closed for live events though our intrepid staff members are still very busy planning Skirball's online events as well as supporting the University through distribution of PPE and rapid Covid-19 tests for faculty and administrators.

This fall, we launched a whole host of online programs and opportunities for discourse so we can stay connected while social distancing. I hope you will join us for:

  • Virtual Skirball Book Club: a continuation of our popular summer series focuses on Black and Indigenous writers;
  • Skirball Masterclasses: inspiring and insightful classes with 5 international artists of renown; and
  • Skirball TV: online conversations with artists, academics, and activists that will be archived for subsequent viewing.

We could not continue to do this work without you. If you are able, I hope you will consider a contribution in support of our programs. Your membership or gift in any amount will help during these challenging times when the arts are fighting for our very survival.

I thank you for being a part of our community. We continue to be concerned for the health and well-being of all of our friends and we look forward to the day we re-open and welcome you back to NYU Skirball for more outrageous and adventurous art.

With gratitude,

Jay Wegman
Director
