ADULT CLASSES

Adult Classes

From the Page to the Virtual Stage

Taught by Andrew Hurteau

This class will be an examination of the actor’s process, from reading the script to lifting the play off the page, working with a playwright who gives the actor a lot of breathing room with regard to the story being told.  Open to all levels.

Starts Monday April 13, 7–9PM

Script Analysis: What the Heck Does the Playwright Want?

Taught by Rolf Saxon

An actor’s job is, fundamentally, to read a story, understand what the author is asking of you, and then to do it. Of course, this is a lot easier said than done. A clear grasp of how to accurately analyze a text—for film, radio, television, or theatre—is crucial to an actor’s ability to make relevant choices.

Starts Tuesday April 14, 7–9PM

Self-Tape Mastery: Strike While the Iron is Hot

Taught by James Wagner

Times are uncertain, but one thing is for sure—self-taping is the order of the day. Like everyone else, producing organizations are looking for what CAN be done given the current circumstances, and many realize that pre-production work—including casting—is one thing they can do.

Starts Wednesday April 15, 7–9PM
