Celebrate under the Sukkah at the J

Sukkot is a time to enjoy with others and we invite you to do so with us. Choose from among several events geared toward those of all ages, babies through seniors. All events take place underneath the sukkah located in the back parking lot near the softball field/camp pickup.

Annual Senior Lunch & Concert
in the Sukkah

Wednesday, September 26, 12:30pm -2:00pm

Celebrate the Jewish fall harvest festival of Sukkot with your senior friends at the JCC! Even if you have never shaken a lulav or smelled the fragrant etrog (ritual objects used for this Jewish holiday), you are welcome to join us for this special occasion, complete with lunch and entertainment by Rachelle Danto! Shalom Baby/PJ Library
Sukkah Celebration

Friday, September 28, 2018, 9:30am-11:00am 

Join Shalom Baby and PJ Library families in the JCC Sukkah. We will celebrate with Nierman Preschool for their Spirit Day in the sSukkah from 9:30-10am and will then continue with the Shalom Baby/PJ Library program which will include PJ Library Storytime, music and songs with the fabulous Cara Freedman, arts and crafts. Snacks will be served.

Yoga in the Sukkah

Friday, September 28, 2018, 11:30am–12:45pm

We are taking our weekly Vinyasa Flow Mixed Levels class outside to the sukkah. This class builds from the basic levels of Vinyasa to create the flowing sequences that incorporate basic poses with more challenging options. You will increase your strength & flexibility, deepen mind-body awareness and understanding of body alignments, and learn to integrate breath and movement. Participants should have knowledge of the basic poses and previous experience. Modifications are always offered.

Shabbat in the Sukkah

Join us for the inaugural family friendly Shabbat in the sSukkah presented by the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, JACOBS FAMILY CAMPUS in our very own Sukkah.

Price: Free (Option to purchase a meal purchase or bring your own - vegetarian only)

5:00pm | Food for sale from “Eat Your Heart Out”

6:30pm | Inspiring Kabbalat Shabbat and Sukkot prayers, led by Cantor Cheri Weiss and live musical accompaniment.

Coastal Roots Farm  

The Sukkot Harvest Festival is the Farm’s biggest event of the year, inspired by the Jewish tradition of gathering community outdoors to celebrate the end of an abundant summer harvest and welcome in the fall season and all that it brings. Join us under the sukkah (temporary shelter) for a day filled with live music, food, and activities for all ages. This year’s Festival theme is Renew and Reroot.
