The month of February offers opportunity to celebrate our students, share appreciation for our community and make plans for summer training. While we love a good snow day, knowing our spring and summer activities are taking shape makes warmer weather feel within reach. Read below for details!
Later this month, we look forward to welcoming parents to our first virtual Parent Observation Week. Our Academy students have made excellent progress this season and observation week is a special opportunity for parents and families to take a virtual peek into the studio classroom and celebrate their success.
Virtual Parent Observation Week
February 15 - 21, 2021
Further details will follow by
email including designated observation classes and Zoom links. Please note students taking in-person classes will continue to join us in person while parents engage virtually.
At Cincinnati Ballet, we believe performance is an essential component of exceptional dance training. Last week we sent an important update on 2021 Spring Production plans to all Academy students taking class in person. Final details regarding our production format are still in development, but in the meantime, our faculty is eager to begin working on choreography and in-class rehearsals this month.
Please mark your calendars for our anticipated performance weekend, May 28-30, and look for many more details to follow in the coming months.
Summer & Collegiate Intensive
June 21 - July 30, 2021
We hope to see many of our year-round students
in this year’s Summer and Collegiate Intensives. Summer is an opportunity to
train more intensively with our resident faculty while broadening your horizons
with exposure to renowned guest instructors. But we’re filling quickly, so if
Cincinnati Ballet is your program of choice, we encourage you to register soon!
Youth Summer Intensive
June 28 - July 23, 2021
Summer is a great opportunity for young dancers
ages 9 and up to enhance their technique and explore new styles, repertoire,
and workshops in a fun and nurturing environment. Letters with division
placement and registration details will be arriving for eligible dancers by
mid-February, so keep an eye on your inbox!
Virtual Book Club
Thanks to all who joined in for the first Parents Association book club event last month! The next book club pick is Taking
Flight by Michaela DePrince. More details to come about a virtual meeting
date in March, but we encourage you to start reading with us!
Messages of Love and Thanks for Valentine's Day
Help send some love to our community! The
Parents Association will be collecting cards made by our students to distribute
to local nursing homes and healthcare workers. We encourage your student to
make a homemade valentine or thank you card to share our care for the community. A touchless drop off bin will be located outside of the Ballet Center entrance from February 5- 12.
After a fantastic fall semester, we’re excited to return this month for our spring session of Ballet Moves. Registration is open now! Links and instructions were sent via email to all returning students in December. With questions about spring classes, placement, or how to register, please email education@cballet.org or call 513.562.1124
