TRUST US: THESE SPECIAL WALKING TOURS ARE NOT TO BE MISSED

“I go to nature every day for inspiration in the day’s work,” architect Frank Lloyd Wright famously said. There’s no better or more picture-perfect time of year to see Wright’s buildings in person than fall, when the leaves change and splash their timeless lines with vibrant color. The CAC is delighted to resume special Wright-themed walking tours in continued partnership with the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust.

For a limited time, members get exclusive, free access to our “Frank Lloyd Wright in Oak Park” tour, every Sunday in October at 1pm or 2pm. This exteriors-only tour begins near Frank Lloyd Wright’s Home and Studio and takes you past nearly a dozen homes designed by Wright, ranging from Victorian to Prairie Style. As capacity for walking tours remains limited to support public safety, don’t delay!

Special thanks to the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust for their valuable partnership over the years. Visit flwright.org to view interior tours offered by the Trust to complement your CAC “Frank Lloyd Wright in Oak Park” tour.

Building bookworms and mavens of Modernism can register now for a FREE online book launch and conversation about “Modern in the Middle: Chicago Houses 1929–1975,” co-authored by Susan Benjamin and Michelangelo Sabatino. Join Benjamin, Sabatino, the CAC’s own Lynn Osmond and Michael Wood, IIT College of Architecture dean Reed Kroloff, and Jeanne Moutoussamy-Ashe and Margaret McCurry on Thursday, October 15 at 5:30pm.
