You are receiving this communication because you have applied and have been accepted to one of Cambrian’s May 2022 programs and you have paid your tuition fee. We are so excited you will be joining us for our next semester! We have posted an update to our website on what classes will be like for the May semester. We want to bring you up to date on the next steps toward beginning your studies at Cambrian College!

If you are in Canada and have a valid study permit, or if you are waiting for a decision on your study permit and your program is being delivered virtually, please carefully read the email below to follow the steps you must take before registering.

If you are a student who has applied to a hybrid program (your program has both virtual and on-campus learning components), you will need to be physically present in Canada this semester. In order to complete your registration, you will need to submit your study permit that you receive once you enter Canada.

Campus Updates

In Case You Missed It

For the 2022 spring semester, starting in May:

  • Vaccination will no longer be required to access campus or Student Residence.
  • Masking will no longer be required on campus.
  • Cambrian College still encourages vaccination and appropriate masking as a matter of personal choice.
  • Courses will continue to be taught using a mix of in-person and virtual delivery. Click here for the 2022 spring semester program delivery chart.
  • Student services will be delivered on-campus, with virtual options when required.
  • Increased food services offered on-campus.

Download the iCent App

Get prepared to start your studies at Cambrian College with the iCent app! The app is mandatory for all international students - be sure to download it before you plan your start at Cambrian. Important information will be collected and messages will be sent directly to you via this app.

Submit Your Documents 

Option A: Outside of Canada still?

1. You are waiting for a decision on your study permit application, or

2. You have a decision on your study permit application, but you are still overseas

If your program is being delivered virtually and you wish to begin your studies online, click on “Remote Program Waiver” in the iCent App to submit the May 2022 Remote Program Waiver and provide proof of your Study Permit application.

Option B: Arrived in Canada with your Study Permit?

If you are in Canada and have a valid study permit, you must upload it for Cambrian’s verification and approval prior to registration. Please visit "Upload Mandatory Documents". Please follow the instructions below:

  • Select "Upload Mandatory Documents" found in the main iCent home screen;
  • Select "Submit Study Permit";
  • Upload a copy of the Study Permit and place a checkmark on terms and conditions and then tap "Submit".

Remote Program Waiver

  • Select the icon labelled “Remote Program Waiver" to view the May 2022 Remote Program Waiver
  • Carefully read the waiver and upload the mandatory supporting documents*
  • Agree to all the conditions, sign and submit

English for Academic Purposes (EAPP) Program

If you are a student in the EAPP program, please sign the EAPP Waiver.

* You can upload any of the following supporting documents: Confirmation of Study Permit Application, Request to Apply for Biometrics, Biometrics Reception Confirmation, Medical Test Reception, IRCC Decision Letter, Passport Request, and Visa Approval Letter/Letter of Introduction.

Key Dates

April 4 – Registration opens

May 9 – First day of classes

May 13 – Last day to register for a program or add a course. Last day to be present in class if your program has on-campus learning. 

May 20 - Last day to withdraw from a program or a course and qualify for a refund. Those who withdraw on or before this date and have paid fees above the non-refundable deposit may be eligible for a refund. Please see refund policy. Those who withdraw past this date are responsible for the current term fees

Student Portal

Cambrian College uses a secure online student portal called "myCambrian" where you can register, view important documents related to your program, complete your virtual International Orientation, see your timetable, access your grades, view class cancellations, and more!  You will need to log into myCambrian in order to register. 

To login to myCambrian:

  1. Click here
  2. User ID: is your student number, which begins with the letter ‘A’
  3. Your password is your date of birth (MMDDYY). For example, if you were born on July 1, 1996, your password would be 070196.

If you experience any issues trying to access your myCambrian account, please contact the Helpdesk at 705-566-8101 x7370 between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM EST or submit a ticket by clicking here.

Online Registration Guide

Registration is Open on April 4!

Registration takes place in myCambrian and it is something that you do before the start of each semester. This process allows you to select a timetable.

Registration Instructions:

1. You must have your fees paid and have a valid Study Permit or you have submitted your Remote Program Waiver

2. Login to your myCambrian portal 

3. Click on the "Student" tab 

4. Click on the "Online Registration" link as shown in the "Important Links" section of myCambrian 

5. The registration module will open and you can follow the steps to select your timetables 

Thirty (30) minutes after you have registered you will see your classes listed on your student dashboard. Your timetable will be available below your student dashboard in the “Important Links” section. 

After you have successfully registered you will receive an email that includes the next steps and all upcoming important dates and deadlines. Please pay close attention to this email and take action where required.

Orientation

Your Orientation is Now Available!

We hope you’re as excited about your first day as we are! To help you prepare, we have organized a virtual Orientation filled with exciting and important information to get you started on the road to success.

Academic Orientation

Your Orientation will also include an Academic Orientation video which will give you the chance to hear from your program coordinator and get specific program information before your regular classes start. You will receive an email three weeks prior to your start date with your program Orientation video! This video will provide you with pertinent program information. We encourage you to review before you begin your studies.

Certificate of Completion

After completing all the modules, you will have the opportunity to receive a digital Certificate of Completion.

On-Campus Accommodations

Cambrian Residence

The Townhouses at the Cambrian College Residence are available to International Students! You can view a tour of the Townhouses by clicking here. For more information on Residence, please click here.

First-semester international students qualify for special first-semester pricing at only $425/month for Townhouses. The residence also requires a $500 deposit prior to the first payment of residence fees.

You are able to make payments to Residence using their Flywire Account, cambrianclc.flywire.com. Your application must be completed, submitted, and approved, and your $500 security deposit must be paid and received prior to your arrival at Residence.
