SNEAK PREVIEW SCREENING

RAYMOND & RAY

with Special Guests

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 AT 2:00 PM AT THE PARAMOUNT THEATER

🎟️ Tickets: $13.00

Raymond & Ray

We are thrilled to announce a special sneak preview screening of the upcoming Apple TV+ film Raymond & Ray on Sunday, September 25 at 2:00 PM at The Paramount Theater.

Our screening will feature an in-person conversation with writer-director Rodrigo García, a past VAFF guest, and, producer Julie Lynn, a VAFF Advisory Board Member and graduate of the University of Virginia and UVA School of Law.

This highly anticipated film stars Ewan McGregor and Ethan Hawke as estranged half-brothers Raymond and Ray, who reunite at their father’s funeral. Despite their differences and complex family relationships, they maintain their senses of humor, and the funeral becomes an opportunity to reinvent themselves. There’s anger, there’s folly, there might be love, and there is definitely gravedigging.

Filmed in Virginia with support from the Virginia Film Office, Raymond & Ray is produced by Lynn alongside her longtime producing partner Bonnie Curtis and Alfonso Cuarón. The film also stars Maribel Verdú, Tom Bower, Vondie Curtis-Hall, and Sophie Okonedo. Raymond & Ray will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 12, and will be released on Apple TV+ on October 21.

This screening is presented by UVA Arts: supported by the Office of the Provost and Vice Provost for the Arts.
