WORLD WATER DAY

World Water Day is held annually on March 22nd to celebrate water and raise awareness of the need to manage and protect this natural resource.

Water is essential in powering B.C. with clean energy. BC Hydro has developed fun new water-themed activities for grades K to 7 in French and English. Take part and your class will be entered to win prizes.

Your mission is to help our team develop coding, computational thinking and digital skills resource materials for BC K-12 teachers, and introduce these ideas through professional enrichment workshops online and in person across BC.

You may be able to arrange a leave of absence with your school district. Please apply by Friday March 25, 2022 via the Science World careers portal:  scienceworld.ca/jobs

Future Science Leaders

FSL alumni, Mariem and Tristen, joined Future Science Leaders ready to learn more about science and found a lasting friendship while collaborating in sessions. "FSL was my first clear example that STEM isn’t just a few classes you take in high school. It’s a way of thinking and being and collaborating."  Learn more about Mariem and Tristen's story.

Registration for Fall 2022 is now open! Information Session March 7! Early Bird Deadline March 15!

Thank You teachers!

Thank you for celebrating Teacher's Night Out with us!

On March 1, teachers from across the lower mainland joined us under the dome for 'Teacher's Night Out' exploring exhibits like the NEW 'T.Rex: The Ultimate Predator', learning about our programs and just having a great time. Thanks to all who came, and for those that could't make it, here are a few reminders of what we offer educators:

Download the recap slideshow to get all the info in one place.

And as always, you can explore Science World's Resources for curriculum-linked activities in English and French!

À nos amis francophones, vous-voici des modules en français en vous souhaitant aussi une bonne journée internationale de la Francophonie le 20 Mars!
