CSO Latino Alliance

A note from Latino Alliance Advisory Board member Melynna Hakim Arreola-Quiroga

As a college student pursuing my undergraduate degree in Accountancy, Finance and Philosophy, it would be a shame to not complement my academic studies with the wealth of fine arts in Chicago. Just a four minute walk from DePaul University, the CSO is the most beautiful gem in the city. I hope to share the CSO’s beauty with other young professionals in Chicago. People from all across the city from walks of life come to the CSO, but one thing is for sure: the timeless classical music pieces are entrancing. My mom instilled a love for classical music that I hope to share with Chicago through education and outreach. The generational tradition of appreciating classical music in the Latino Alliance affects future generations. Together, we can make the phrase “Cuando era joven, asistía a conciertos de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Chicago” a tradition for Latino families.
