160 years ago, Herman Melville wrote Moby-Dick, probably the greatest American novel ever published.
In an evening of dramatised readings, films and discussion we address the impact of this great masterpiece. Featuring writer and cultural historian Philip Hoare, acclaimed artist Angela Cockayne, Richard Sabin, Head of Vertebrae at the Natural History Museum, Radio 4 continuity announcer Zeb Soanes and Kerry Shale, actor, writer and familiar voice to anyone who listens to Radio 4. Chaired by The Guardian's literary editor Claire Armitstead.
