MINER AUDITORIUM

SUN SHOWS, MEMBERS SAVE 25%

For this exclusive four-night residency, saxophonist and composer Ravi Coltrane explores the music of his legendary parents John Coltrane and Alice Coltrane for the first time. Ravi brings with him a new multigenerational band featuring keyboardist Gadi Lehavi, guitarist David Gilmore, bassist Lonnie Plaxico, and drummer Elé Howell. The band is drawing material widely from both Coltranes, and incorporates the use of electric instrumentation like keyboards and guitars to create improvisational-based cosmic jazz. There is no doubt this will be one of the most historic concert events to happen at the SFJAZZ Center.
