We are pleased to announce the following sessions and remarks:
Nicki Hunter, Artistic Director & Chris Jennings, Executive Director
Kelly Gillespie, MTC’s Casting Director, walks through the casting process, showing the evolution of a performance from the page, to the initial audition, to what you see onstage.
Teaching Artists are central to Learning & Community Engagement’s work. These artist-educators enter classrooms and community spaces to create experiences that empower learners to engage joyfully and authentically with the work on MTC’s stages. This panel will feature MTC Teaching Artists in dialogue with Open House attendees about how they approach their practice and define success.
Sessions will take place at approximately 5:25PM and 6:00PM.
Opening remarks are scheduled for 5:15PM.
Guests may also visit our "exhibition room" featuring script selections, set models, and production photos courtesy of our Artistic and Production departments. Visitors taking part will be able to track a production's development from page to stage.
Additionally, members from MTC's Development department will be on-site to answer questions about our membership and Patron programs and how attendees can support the mission and work of MTC!
