In an article for The Art Newspaper in the run up to COP26, Director Adrian Ellis argues that no matter how much invaluable mitigation and adaptation work the heritage sector does to address the climate crisis, without strong international governmental action, it will be in vain. The sector therefore has a responsibility to push governments hard on the Paris Treaty and to assist in the mobilization of public opinion.
