Podcasting 101 | For grades 6–12
Step into the world of storytelling through sound! In this hands-on class, learn how to develop, record, and share a podcast. Students are encouraged to bring their own special interests and perspectives to the table to turn an exciting idea into a polished pilot episode. The class is led by a former Wondery producer (home to over 45 #1 Apple Podcasts) and blends creative collaboration with practical production skills.
The class also explores the overlap between theatre and podcasting, discovering how acting, directing, and storytelling translate into the world of audio. Learn to pitch ideas, practice mic technique, experiment with performance, writing, content, editing, and discover an audience. No experience needed, just curiosity.
Dates: Mondays, February 2–April 6, 2026
Time: 6:30–8:30 PM
Location: Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church, 7500 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103

Youth Showcase: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory | For grades 4–8
Theatre is all about telling a great story. The stronger an ensemble and the more confident the actors, the better the story they can tell. As students work together, they’ll be challenged to make bold and detailed character decisions and fully immerse themselves in the world of the play. Students will be amazed at what they’ve accomplished when it all comes together in a short, final performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for their friends and family with lights, costumes, and props!

Creative Storytelling: Where The Wild Things Are | For grades K–3
In this class, students will learn the basics of storytelling and examine a variety of storytelling techniques. Students will work on both their own stories and those written by others. For their own stories, they will use creative drama and improv exercises to learn how to tell a story on the page and on the stage. They’ll develop ideas, act them out, write them down, and use play to learn the fundamentals of narrative. They'll also look at stories written by others, including an in-depth look at Where The Wild Things Are.
Students do not need to be able to read and write to join the class—assistance is available. On the last day of class, the final sharing for families and friends will include Where The Wild Things Are as well as students' own stories.
Dates: Thursdays, February 5–April 9, 2026
Time: 5:15–6:45 PM
Location: Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church, 7500 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103
Price: $295 (sibling discounts available)
DramaQuest: Who's in Rabbit's House? | For grades K–3
Come join the fun re-creating an old African tale loosely based on the story Who’s in Rabbit’s House? Rabbit lives a comfy predictable life when one day finds the door locked and something big and scary is in there and won’t come out! Rabbit’s friends try to help, but each one becomes afraid of the creature in the house. Who can help Rabbit? We will have great fun making animal head pieces, props, and puppets to creatively re-tell this story.
Your child’s imagination provides the script in this class that challenges and excites young children as they learn theatrical terms, play games that reinforce important skills and work together to tell a compelling story. Students will learn about the three tools in an actor’s toolbox: imagination, voice, and body. They’ll also experience the wonder of theatre as a team activity as they work together in an environment where empathy and respect are highly valued. See them apply and use all these skills in their end of week performance.

Youth & Teen Showcase: How to Survive Being in a Shakespeare Play
This camp provides all the fun and excitement of putting on a great production in just one week. From auditioning and rehearsing to preparing for a final performance, students will have a great time working together and developing their acting skills. Get ready for an action-packed, fast-paced theatre adventure as students come together to memorize lines, learn stage blocking and go through tech rehearsals just like the professionals. Students will be amazed at what they have accomplished when it all comes together in front of an audience.
This showcase will produce How to Survive Being in a Shakespeare Play by Don Zolidis. Some day it’s going to happen: You’re going to find yourself on stage, wearing tights, and saying things in iambic pentameter. Face it, you’re in a Shakespeare play, and that means it’s a pretty good bet you’re going to DIE. The Bard is out for blood, but this play is here to stop him! How could Romeo and Juliet survive? Julius Caesar? A nameless soldier in Henry V? What if King Lear had an emotional support llama and didn’t need to make terrible mistakes? Join us in discovering how a dozen of Shakespeare’s plays could’ve turned out differently! If only they listened…
