Arts In Your Classroom
Calling all teachers and artists working in the education field! You're invited to join us online on Saturday, March 5 from 9am–1pm for our 20th annual Arts In Your Classroom conference!
For the second straight year, this FREE event will occur in a virtual space where you can tune in at home, engage with the presenters, and make new connections with other professionals in the field. This year's conference offers a range of topics under the theme of Recalibrate. Rebuild. RestART.
During the 4 hour program, our panel of diverse and distinguished speakers will cover key concepts and best practices, share tools and resources, and lead thoughtful discussions as we build a network of support for educators to continue to do invaluable work with the students and communities that they serve. For full details on this year's workshop topics and presenter bios, click here.
Register below and you'll receive a link to the live broadcast in the days leading up to the event. Huge thanks to our supporting partner SV Creates for helping us offer this event for free!

An Extraordinary Vocal Talent: Storm Large
Join us in our indoor Carriage House Theatre on Wednesday, February 23 at 7:30pm to see the exceptionally talented Storm Large.
A Montalvo favorite over the years, this stunning performer made her debut with the band Pink Martini in 2011, singing four sold-out concerts with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center. As a solo performer, she has appeared on the TV show “Rock Star: Supernova” and most recently wowed the judges as she reached the quarterfinals on “America's Got Talent.”
BroadwayWorld described her impressive credentials this way: “A high priestess of blues and rock, Large has conquered everything from symphonies to the subversive; knocking the American Songbook off its dusty pedestal and into the burning heat of rebirth in the process.”
Trust us, this is a show you'll want to see!

Acoustic in the Villa: Nehal & Austin
Join us in the historic Villa on Sunday, February 20 from 2–4pm for our next installment of The Listening Hour, featuring the acoustic guitar stylings of Nehal & Austin
This utterly delightful local duo will perform a wide array of songs from their repertoire of original blues, soul, & neo-vintage rock, and mixing it up with some French classic love tunes. They might even sprinkle a few American classics, if the mood strikes!
The Listening Hour is a casual concert series featuring Bay Area performers in an intimate setting; each event will also include a moderated dialogue as the artists discuss their musical influences, inspirations, and more. Beverages are for sale for you to enjoy while you listen, and COVID-19 protocols are in place (proof of vaccination and masks required). We hope you'll join us!
