We are pleased to announce the 40 violinists selected to compete in the 12th Quadrennial International Violin Competition of Indianapolis. Chosen from 167 applications representing 30 countries, these exceptional musicians (ages 16 to 28) and hailing from 10 countries across three continents will convene in Indianapolis beginning September 17, 2026, for 16 days of remarkable performances.
From the Preliminaries through the Semi-Finals and into the Classical Finals with the East Coast Chamber Orchestra and the Finals with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Leonard Slatkin, we look forward to welcoming the world's finest young violinists to our city.
The 12th Quadrennial will be led by Jury President Jaime Laredo and a world-renowned panel of jurors: David Chan (1994 Bronze Medalist), Jinjoo Cho (2014 Gold Medalist), Pamela Frank, Yuzuko Horigome, Bella Hristova (2006 Laureate), Dong-Suk Kang, Cho-Liang Lin, and Svetlin Roussev (1998 Laureate).
