Thank you for your support of MTC!

Your gift supports numerous facets of MTC’s work, including our Learning and Community Engagement programs. Contributions like yours uplift the development of creative voices, connect young people to and through creativity, and invite learners to experience the magic of live theatre—many for the very first time.

What is MTC Learning and Community Engagement?

MTC Learning and Community Engagement creates experiences that empower learners to engage joyfully and authentically with live theatre as authors, audience, and administrators. This work centers equity, diversity, and inclusion, and is driven further by our core values of community and connection, inquiry and reflection, authenticity in storytelling, and joy.

MTC's Learning and Community Engagement efforts served 3,000+ learners of all ages in our 2024-25 season.
  • 1,631 students participated in our local classroom programs (Lights Up! and Write On The Edge)
  • 261 students from 13 schools across 8 US states, 5 countries, and 4 continents participated in TheatreLink, our long-distance playwriting and production program
  • 227 inter-generational participants attended a Family Matinee
  • 452 community members across our ten partner organizations participated in community engagement workshops
  • 9 early career professionals were mentored and trained through our career programs (Trainees and Fellows)
