About the show
Viola washes up on the shore after losing her twin brother in a shipwreck. In disguise as her twin brother, she lands in the world of Duke Orsino. A playful interpretation of a beloved Shakespeare comedy that brings gender fluidity, mistaken identities, and what it means to move between worlds into a joyful discovery of love.

SFS Alum Annie Wang will be performing in Gumiho at Theatre Rhinoceros, taking on the roles of Janette, Bonnie, and Nancy. She departed from SFS with a keen interest in contributing to the development of new works, so she is particularly thrilled to be involved in this project – a West Coast premiere of a play by contemporary playwright, written by Nina Ki. Kam, an ex-reality TV star and player in the LA queer scene, has recently undergone a breakup with her longtime girlfriend, Janette. Through a series of casual hookups, Kam eventually comes to realize that the scene has changed while she has been away, and that what she truly craves is a real connection.

A.C.T. MFA Alum Avanthika Srinivasan has been cast in Huntington Theatre Company's production of The Triumph of Love written by Marivaux, translated by Stephen Wadsworth, and directed by Loretta Greco.
