Rehearsal Time Change for Concert Chorus
Concert Chorus families, please forgive this short notice, but we would like to have Concert Chorus singers arrive 15 minutes early on Wednesday, at 6:45pmif possible. They will be rehearsing If You Could Hear My Voice, Stand Together and Amani.  We have parent chaperones arriving early to meet your children at the dropoff circle. We realize many of you are carpooling or rushing from work (or both!), so please don't change your schedule if it causes a hardship. Concert Chorus:  Please review these songs very well for our last rehearsal. Thanks!

LAST TECH REHEARSAL - THIS WEDNESDAY

This coming Wednesday, June 5, we have our last tech rehearsal before the concert. We will be working with the children on staging, procedures, and stage presence, as well as more rehearsal of the music together with the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra (MCYO).

Procedures

We will follow the same basic procedures as this past week regarding pickup and dropoff, water, and chaperones. Drop-off at the valet circle on Tuckerman Lane, or bring your child to the 4th floor rehearsala rooms. If you no longer have last week's newsletter, you may find it here.

Reminders - please send your child in with a water bottle. Donations of extra water bottles are still welcome. Also, children should wear their SCC white tees if they have them, or plain white tees if they don't.

Chaperones - Those who signed up to chaperone have been sent an email with instructions. If you have not signed up but want to help, please remain in the hallway outside the rehearsal rooms so we may call on you should the need arise. We are sorry that we cannot accommodate more than the 2 designated chaperones in the rehearsal room once rehearsals begin.

QUICK REMINDERS

Photography at the Concert

Strathmore has it covered! Parents may relax and enjoy the show, as Strathmore will have a professional photographer backstage before the show, during the run-through, and during the concert itself. We have a designated parent volunteer taking video, and will post some videos after editing. As is standard theater policy, please no photos or video during the performance.

Concert Attire Cleaning

We haven't had many performances, but the kids were under hot lights at Asbury last month. You might want to take a moment to check your child's attire and clean it prior to the performance date. Follow washing instructions inside the garments, as they vary. Also, remember the Concert Chorus gowns are clingy, so what's worn underneath is as important as the gown itself.

Treble Chorus Boys' Ties

All Trebel Chorus boys will receive a black bow tie on the day of the show. If you would like to donate your blue tie (or black if you have that), you may send it in with your child and we will trade.
