March Updates from PNB School

We may still be online, but spring is blooming with activities, events, and virtual performances! Read on for details about our reimagined Spring Fling, sweet offers, and a can't-miss interview with PNB School Faculty Member Marjorie Thompson.

We continue to update the parent portal regularly. While our staff capacity at the Phelps Center and the Francia Russell Center remain limited, communication with our PNB School families is a top priority. PNB School faculty member Marjorie Thompson has had a legendary career - first working with George Balanchine at New York City Ballet, then teaching the Company and at School of American Ballet before becoming a faculty member at Pacific Northwest Ballet School, where she also developed the PNBConditioning program. Once Upon A Dance

PNB Trustee Terrel Lefferts and her daughter, previously a Professional Division student at PNB School, have used the pandemic to create a series of children’s dance books. They have six published works with another five in process, and are donating the full value (or more) of each book sold to PNB’s Future Fund.

Need Girl Scout Cookies? They won't be on sale at grocery stores this year, so last month we asked PNB School families to share their online stores. Thanks to those who wrote in!

The Intermission Project

Have you caught the debut of Price Suddarth's The Intermission Project yet? This film series features PNB dancers out and about in gorgeous Seattle spaces. You can enjoy a 4 minute piece here and there, or take in the full 35 minutes. This beautiful film disappears March 21st so watch while you can!
