In love with dance? Come watch Ronald K. Brown and his dance company "Evidence," performing "Walking out the Dark" on Sunday, February 19 at 4 PM.

5 things you should know about this Ron K. Brown performance:

  1. "Walking out the Dark" is Ron K. Brown's only quartet work
  2. It was created after Brown's first visit to Cuba back in 2000
  3. It is a danced conversation between mother, father, brother, sister, lover, friend
  4. It was originally commissioned to open the Dance Theater Workshop now New York Live Arts' newly renovated space
  5. Features music by Sweet Honey in the Rock, Ballet Folklorico Cutumba de Santiago and vocalist Philip Hamilton (a former featured soloist with Pat Metheny)

Directions and Parking

Driving: from i-270

From 270, take exit 15 toward Germantown on Germantown Rd. Take a right on Crystal Rock Terr, then left on Century Blvd. Go four blocks and BlackRock will be on your right, the large building on the corner of Century Blvd & Town Commons Dr. 

Turn right on Town Commons Dr, the parking lot is directly behind our building, the first right you can take off of Town Commons Dr. We also have standing agreements with the neighborhood, retailers, and public library next door.

Public Transportation

Ride DC Metro to Shady Grove Station (Red Line) and transfer to Ride On Bus Route 100 (15-minute Express Bus Service from Metro Shady Grove Station to the Germantown Transit Center [GTC] on Aircraft Drive). 

From GTC, walk four blocks following Century Boulevard to our front door, or transfer to Ride On Bus Route 97 which stops in front of BlackRock.
