Greetings from Estefanía García and Juan Solana, co-chairs of the CSO Latino Alliance

Greetings, everyone!

In the coming weeks, we have two exceptional opportunities to experience the energy of new music and rising performers — events you won’t want to miss!

Join the CSO Latino Alliance in celebrating Sphinx Virtuosi: American Form/s on February 25. This concert, and the reception that follows, offer an evening full of memorable moments to treasure. Comprised of 18 outstanding musicians, Sphinx Virtuosi — the dynamic, self-conducted chamber orchestra of the Sphinx Organization — is renowned for its artistic excellence, innovative programming and commitment to diversity. Former CSO Mead Composer-in-Residence and Sphinx Virtuosi alumna Jessie Montgomery performs her 2024 Grammy-winning piece Rounds, alongside works by celebrated Black and Latino composers.

We also invite you to join us for Impact on March 17, a special evening dedicated to showcasing education and community engagement at the CSO. Experience the transformative power of music and discover how the Negaunee Music Institute at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra empowers musicians to learn, grow and serve Chicago’s diverse communities. Enjoy extraordinary performances by the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, musicians from the CSO, Percussion Scholarship Program students and Young Artists Competition winner Jaden Teague-Núñez.

Explore below for more details.

We look forward to celebrating with you!

Estefanía García and Juan Solana
