Oakland-based trumpet star and Blue Note recording artist Ambrose Akinmusire performs a 4-night residency at the SFJAZZ Center. The next two nights premiere a brand new project "Owl Song" (Mar 5-6) featuring guitar pioneer Bill Frisell and the grooving New Orleans drummer Herlin Riley.

As an expression of solidarity with the people of Ukraine, SFJAZZ is interrupting our normal Fridays Live programming for a free broadcast featuring Kyiv's DakhaBrakha, filmed at the SFJAZZ Center on July 18, 2018.
During this broadcast, we encourage everyone to donate generously to the DakhaBrakha Fund, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the band, to be reallocated to their families as well as organizations aiding civilians in Ukraine.
To amplify DakhaBrakha's powerful music and message, this broadcast will be free to everyone.
