The Nutcracker M.A.C Makeup Tutorial

Transform yourself into the magical Snow Queen from The Nutcracker with our brand new makeup tutorial featuring M.A.C. makeup artist Rachel O'Donnell and Scottish Ballet soloist Bethany Kingsley-Garner. If you missed your chance at Halloween, it's perfect for festive parties (or just for a fun night in!).

Mice and Monkeys in the wardrobe department

Just a normal day in the Scottish Ballet wardrobe department as preparations for The Nutcracker continue, with talented young dancers popping by for mouse and monkey costume fittings!

Strictly Come (Ballet) Dancing

On Wed 29 Oct Scottish Ballet had a special visit from Strictly Come Dancing star Anton du Beke and his tennis coach partner Judy Murray. 

Anton and Judy began their visit by surprising an Indepen-dance class for some twists and twirls, before heading upstairs to the studios for some top secret rehearsal time ahead of their Saturday performance.

The Nutcracker Fun Pack has lots of fun things for you to make and do before you come to see our production of Peter Darrell’s  The Nutcracker this winter, with different recipes, creative activities and puzzles for you to try out!

Wee Nutcracker Workshops

We're holding Nutcracker workshops in Glasgow and Edinburgh, allowing young people to explore the story and movement from the ballet and enter Clara’s dream world full of marching soldiers, frozen ice fairies and enchanted sweets that come to life.
